  • Pleasant Valley Students Raise $4,600 for Charity

    Students at Pleasant Valley Elementary raised 4,611.90 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society this Spring. The popular Pasta for Pennies fundraiser was selected by the building's Student Council to support research and patient aid through the organization.

  • Student of the Week: Mizdelina Almodovar

    Mizdelina is an ESOL student in Parma ABLE's program. She has been attending ESOL classes since summer of 2013. Despite Mizdelina's busy schedule she has outstanding attendance in the program and a sincere commitment to improving her English language skills. Mizdelina is an inspiration.

  • New Safety Protocol at Elementary Schools

    The Parma City School District is implementing a new policy in all elementary schools to further ensure the safety of students. Starting Friday, April 24, 2015 general monitors will greet visitors at front entrances, with admittance procedures following those already in place at the middle and high schools.

  • STEM and Arts Summer Academy Returning in June!

    Back by popular demand, the STEM and Arts Summer Academy will be returning in June! The Department of Teaching and Learning has prepared core instruction in reading and math as well as an exciting variety of enrichment opportunities for incoming kindergarten through grade 7 students from June 15 through July 30. A comprehensive program of offerings for high school students will be offered during that time frame as well.

  • NHS Drama Presents: Annie

    The Normandy High School Drama Workshop will offer two showings of the production of "Annie" on April 24th and April 25th. curtain is 7:00pm both evenings, and tickets are $10 at the door. Come enjoy the talents of our students, and show them your support!

  • STEM Elementary Accepting Applications Grades K-5

    The PCSD STEM Elementary is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year. Applications for grades K-5 are due May 15, 2015. Please note that space is very limited. Students will be admitted to open seats via an online lottery process, and families will be notified once accepted.

  • Pleasant Valley STEM School Receives Innovative Educators Award

    Congratulations to the Parma City School District’s Pleasant Valley Elementary and STEM School for being recognized by the WVIZ/PBS Education Advisory Council as Innovative Educators! STEM teachers Brenda Nikic and Melissa Moore, who were instrumental in starting the STEM School, presented on behalf of the district to share best practices at the April 14, 2015 WVIZ/PBS Advisory Council Meeting.
