Mr. Johns is a long time Parma resident and a product of the Parma City School District. Mr. Johns currently lives in Parma but has lived in Parma Heights and has attended Saint Bridget School, Greenbriar Junior High, Valley Forge High School and then graduated from Normandy High School in 1977.

Mr. Johns was honorably discharged in 1980 after serving 3 years in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He served 1.5 years in the National Guard and received and early release because the time was interfering with a position at Lincoln Electric. Mr. Johns worked at Lincoln Electric for 13.5 years and left to work with the Hanford Tank Initiative, a company that designs and builds robots for radioactive waste retrieval. Mr. Johns’ first company called Power Cad Inc. was contracted to do the design and animations for the robots. Mr. Johns then moved on and did the same type of work for Fernald in Cincinnati.

His family has a long history in the City of Parma as family members have lived in Parma since 1943. His personal history with Parma is one of the reasons he and his family decided to move back to Dogwood Lane in Parma seven years ago. Mr. Johns is a partner in one business and owns another start-up business. His wife has a textile manufacturing company and also has a start-up that opened this year. Mr. Johns and his wife have two children.
